Besthorpe Nature Reserve - celebrating a quarter century of nature restoration in Trent Vale
Besthorpe Nature Reserve,
Trent Lane, Besthorpe, Nottinghamshire, NG23 7HLEvent details
About the event
Join us and other members as we celebrate 25 years since taking on this special wetland site in the heart of the Trent Vale between the Trent side villages of Collingham and Besthorpe
Learn about the habitat transformation delivered through what, at the time, proved to be the Trust's largest ever habitat creation project; hear how the reserve came to be the first breeding site in Notts for a trio of egret species and became a haven of tranquillity for local residents during lockdown.
During the visit you'll also learn how local volunteers and community support has helped make this one of our most welcoming and accessible nature reserves.
