Nottinghamshire Three Rivers Restoration Project - working in partnership to bring nature back to our waterways
Event details
About the event
Join us at Vicar Water Country Park to discover how the Trust is working with Severn Trent to deliver an ambitious programme of improvements to the water environment along three rivers within the Idle Catchment - Vicar Water, Rainworth Water and Bevercotes Beck.
After decades of pressures including channel modification, poor water quality, low flow and vegetation clearance, our partnership with Severn Trent sees the Trust working alongside colleagues from our long-established ecological consultancy subsidiary EMEC Ecology and specialist waterway engineers to address low flow and prevent water losses and increase the ecological resilience of the watercourses. along these important water courses in the heart of Sherwood Forest.
