About the event
This workshop provides a perfect opportunity to learn and develop silversmithing skills. Suitable for complete beginners and veterans alike, this course is ideal for anyone with a desire to learn a new craft or a gift for an artsy person in your life!
The day will begin with wire work, creating a hammered silver ring. After this you will work with a sheet of metal to create earrings or a pendant. You will be supported through the step-by-step process of creating your own wearable pieces to be proud of in a small group setting. Cyrilyn has been teaching for over 20 years and leading her successful silversmithing workshops for 8 years, making bespoke jewellery as well as offering specialist classes and 1-2-1 lessons. She is best known for her incredible wedding ring workshops.
The workshop includes lunch and refreshments based in the community room with beautiful views across the water. All our food is made fresh on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our cakes and sweet treats are supplied by two independent, local businesses – Beeston Brownies and Homemade Café. With at least 48hrs notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs. Please email engagement@nottswt.co.uk if you have any questions or to inform us of any specific requirements/requests.
