What are the types of membership and the minimum fees?

There are three membership options; Individual, Joint and Family. Membership subscriptions can be made either monthly or annually.  We ask for a minimum subscription amount as set out below to cover administration costs. However, you can choose to donate above this rate and many members choose to donate £5 per month or £60 per year.

Membership Type

Minimum Subscription Amount

Individual Membership

£42 per year / £3.50 per month

Joint Membership

£48 per year / £4 per month

Family Membership

£54 per year / £4.50 per month

What age do I need to be to become a member?

Individual members are to be 16 years or older. This excludes children registered under a Family membership who can be 16 years or younger.

  • Confirmation of your membership

  • The latest issue of our member’s magazine ‘Nottinghamshire Wild Life’

  • A leaflet about the nature reserves we look after

Can I send a Gift Membership?

The option of a Gift Membership is available for all three membership options (Individual, Joint and Family). Gift Memberships receive a membership welcome pack as above, and you can choose to have this delivered either directly to the recipient or to your address. You can specify a date for the Gift membership to begin, and we will always endeavour to deliver the membership as close to this date as possible.

We also have four designs of Gift Certificate available for you to download from the links below;

Bumblebee   Butterfly

Hedgehog   Winter Bird

If I’ve set up a Direct Debit for my membership, when will this be collected?

We collect Direct Debits once a month, this is usually on the 10th of the month however where this falls on a weekend or a bank holiday it will be collected on the next working day, therefore we advise it can be collected between the 10th-14th of the month for which it is due.

Confirmation of your Direct Debit set-up can be found in your membership welcome pack, this will include the date of your first Direct Debit collection.

If you have any queries, if any information is incorrect or if you haven’t received this, please contact us at membership@nottswt.co.uk or by phone on 0115 958 82 42.

Do you issue membership cards?

We no longer issue membership cards. As a conservation charity we are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and membership cards are not required for parking or entry to our nature reserves.

Occasionally, other Wildlife Trusts offer free entry to their nature reserves for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust members. If you’re planning to visit a nature reserve of another Wildlife Trust, it is worth checking with them before your visit to see if this is the case. If they do require proof of your Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust membership, please contact us and we will be happy to provide confirmation.

Membership & Parking at Attenborough Nature Reserve

How do I register a vehicle for parking at Attenborough Nature Reserve?

As a thank you for your support, we offer our members the opportunity to park at Attenborough Nature Reserve without having to pay parking charges.

To benefit from this offer, you’ll need to register your vehicle registration with us as the system operates via Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).

You can register up to two vehicles per membership through our registration form

Once you have registered your vehicle(s) you won’t need to use the payment machines in the car park at the nature reserve as the ANPR system will recognise your registration and exempt it from charges.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions about Gift Aid for more information about free parking at Attenborough Nature Reserve and how it can affect Gift Aid.

How do I add a new vehicle or remove a vehicle for parking at Attenborough Nature Reserve?

If you need to update the vehicles that are registered, you can do so through our vehicle update form.
