The team, usually based at the much loved Attenborough Nature Centre, has been unable to operate the café and shop at the centre due to the lockdown restrictions; resulting in a significant drop in income for the Wildlife Trust and visitors being unable to stock up on products such as wild bird seed and feeders.
Spring is usually an extremely busy time in the centre’s shop with customers replenishing supplies as the birds in their gardens enter the busy and all-important breeding season. Now, in an effort to help ensure that customers can provide food for garden birds and continue to connect with nature from the safety of their own homes, the trading team has introduced a temporary home delivery service for a range of bird food and feeders.
