Salary: £23,795.20pa
Contract type: Fixed term / Working hours: Full time
Location:

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic individual looking for a new challenge?

EMEC is a growing business, with project delivery across the East Midlands and beyond. We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Field Surveyors to join our experienced and friendly Ecology team.

You will be working on the England Ecosystem Survey (EES) project, part of the Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) Programme, carrying out soil sampling at a variety of locations, majority within a 90min commute from Nottingham. We are a company that takes great pride in the quality of our work, and the outcomes for wildlife conservation.

You’ll be someone who wants to make a difference and help nature’s recovery. You don’t need to have a great deal of ecological experience, but working knowledge, and lots of passion, are a must.

You’ll be employed to work directly on the project for one of our largest clients to gain valuable survey experience and knowledge to kick-start your career. Due to the nature of the project, applicants should be willing to work both in the field and perform pre-survey desk-based studies. Work will include some travel and staying away from home, as well as manual labour such as shallow digging, soil sampling, sorting and transporting samples for laboratory analysis.

You must be available to start in early August 2024.

Let’s be honest, not all ecological consultancies are the same. We want to do the very best for nature and ALL of our profits are gift-aided to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to support conservation directly on the ground. We also want to do the best for you. We commit to developing you professionally through our Personal Development programme.
