The Wilder Welcome Volunteers are volunteers who work with the community. They ensure that visitors to the reserve are well-informed and made to feel welcome. There are many roles within Wilder Welcome Volunteer offer and this one is the chance to lead wellbeing walks, alongside other volunteers.

What does this role involve?

You will join a volunteering team that leads wellbeing walks around the reserve. The Wellbeing Walks are every Tuesday from 10:30am and last just over an hour - there is also a social aspect after the walk where the leaders and walkers often go to the café. The role requires approximately 2 hours of your time. You do not need to be available every Tuesday, there is a rota system - you are welcome to do as many or as few walks a month as you can. Ideally, you will be able to commit to at least one Tuesday a month.  

Do I need experience?

There is no experience needed as full training is provided for this role.  

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person who is able to communicate well with all members of the public.

How much time do I need to commit?

There is no upper or lower limit on the amount of commitment required. Each session last approximately 2 hours, it will be up to you to how many walks a month you'd like to take part in, as agreed in advance with your volunteer leader, Camille.
