Reflecting on a year of the Wilder Nottinghamshire Network

Our People and Nature team looks back over the past year of the Wilder Nottinghamshire Network and talks about plans for the future!
Wilder Nottinghamshire

It’s hard to believe that a year has gone by already since the official launch of the Wilder Nottinghamshire Network. Although the time seems to have flown by it's incredible to think how much amazing work has been achieved across the county.

Over the past 12 months nearly 70 groups have joined the Network – with over 2200 people supporting these groups to take action for a wilder Nottinghamshire. There are no specific requirements on group size or type to join the Network – any group can plot their activity on the map to grow connections and show how many people are already taking action for nature across Nottinghamshire. Not part of any group but still doing great things for nature? Don’t worry – you can add your actions here.

2025 is already shaping up to be a great year for the Network. We have workshops in the pipeline covering lots of different subjects as suggested from groups who have already joined; more details will be shared via email and the Wilder Nottinghamshire Facebook group. If you are on Facebook, please follow this group to ensure you are always up to date with our latest news.

The Wilder Nottinghamshire Network is growing organically, and we’re always looking for input and suggestions to shape its development. Our Wilder Nottinghamshire Officers, Harri (North) and Camille (South) look forward to hearing from you – please email us and we’ll be in touch.

Looking forward to another year of working together for a Wilder Nottinghamshire, with festive greetings from the People and Nature team at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.
