Join us at Skylarks Nature Reserve. There will be performances, debates and activities happening throughout the day and yummy local food and drink available too.

How do I get there?

As a conservation charity we want to make this gathering as environmentally conscious as we can. Please consider taking alternative means of transport to the event if possible. 

If you are under the age of 16 please make sure you are attending with a responsible adult. 

Cycle

Skylarks is around a 25 minute cycle from Nottingham City Centre or 15 minute ride from West Bridgeford.

  • Cycle over Trent bridge and turn left.
  • Follow the cycle path along the river until you reach the sailing club.
  • Turn right and cycle until you reach Adbolton Lane, turn left here and follow the signs to the Wilder Woodland Gathering.

Bus

You can catch the 11 bus which stops on Adbolton lane just outside Lady Bay.  It is then a 20 minute walk further down the road to the event parking and the entrance to the Wilder Woodland Gathering. Please be wary of traffic when walking from the bus stop to the event.

Car

There will be plenty of car parking available next door to the reserve at the National Watersports centre. There will be signs along Abdolton lane directing you towards parking and our lovely marshals on hand to help and collect any car parking doantions (suggested donation £3).

Accessibility

Skylarks nature reserve, created in 1982, is believed to be the first of its kind in the country laid out specifically for the benefit of wheelchair users, with accessible trails. There may be some activities at the event that are off the standard trails where the ground may be uneven.

Disabled Parking

There will a drop of zone and nearby disabled parking for the event, please follow the signs on adbolton lane and talk to our lovely car park marshals on the day. 

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs and Skylarks is a well love location for dog walkers. If you are bringing your four-legged friends along to the gathering please keep them on a lead.

Do I need a ticket?

The Wilder Woodland Gathering is free to attend for anyone and everyone. Please let us know your coming by booking your place below.
