About the event

Spring is a great time to identify birds by their song. As well as making spotting the birds easier, listening to birdsong can reduce stress and mental fatigue. Join us to listen out for some of the reserve’s residents, and perhaps some of the earlier spring migrants.

Nature Spotting events are a monthly volunteer-led informal and friendly walk, where you can meet like-minded people. None of us are experts, but we share our knowledge and love for nature. Each month is a different theme.

The walk starts and ends outside our Nature Centre, which has a café, shop, toilet and baby changing facilities and our accessible Nature Garden with Sand Martin bird hide.

The walk starts at 10am, so arrive by 9.45am to get parked and use the facilities if required. We aim to be back at the nature centre by 11.15am and you are welcome to join us for a drink in the café together afterwards.

Spaces are limited, so please let us know if you can't make it as we will likely have a waiting list.

Please note that whilst the walk itself is not charged, parking fees apply. This is waived for NWT members, Attenborough volunteers and staff who have previously registered their vehicles. For more information, visit our parking page.
