About the event

Join invertebrate expert Dave Goddard on a Butterfly ID course at Attenborough Nature Reserve. Attenborough Nature Reserve is home to around 20 species of butterfly with some local rarities such as the Purple Hairstreak and Brown Argus.

This course will begin in the conference room in Attenborough Nature Centre with an introductory session on butterflies. After lunch Dave will lead a guided walk out onto the reserve to identify butterflies in the field. Participants of all abilities are welcome – from complete beginners to those looking to expand their knowledge.

The course includes refreshments and a buffet lunch. All our food is made fresh on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our cakes and sweet treats are supplied by two independent, local businesses – Beeston Brownies and Homemade Café.

With 48hrs notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs. Please email us if you have any questions or to inform us of any specific requirements/requests.
