Stronger Shores is an innovative new project exploring the potential for 'nature-based solutions' to be used in the reduction of coastal erosion across the North East. Join us as we discuss the fascinating research taking place through the project, with our partners from across the North East exploring the potential benefits associated with kelp, seagrass and oyster reefs, whilst investigating how best to restore them.

Blair is a marine engagement professional, who after growing up in a small seaside town in Scotland, has undertaken study in marine science and science communications, and is now working to protect the incredible marine environments surrounding the UK. Working on the Dornoch Environmental Enhancement Project, followed by the Discover the Deep project with Dynamic Earth, he has worked for years developing links between his audiences and the work of marine researchers across the UK. He has now turned his attention to the North East of England, to assist in connecting communities with the work of the Stronger Shores project.
