We're looking for a ranger to help look after our nature reserves and engage with the public in the northern half of the country.

We are passionate about protecting nature and wildlife across our county, but we need help to make sure we are ready to respond when nature calls!

We are looking for a passionate, committed and highly organised individual to join our Nature Recovery Team to deliver exemplary practical habitat management and support opportunities for public engagement on our suite of exciting reserves in the northern half of the County, including our flagship Idle Valley Nature Reserve, home of our beavers.

Reporting to the Reserves Manager (North), the ideal candidate will have relevant experience of practical conservation and countryside management, be able to demonstrate initiative and common sense when tackling their work as well showing confidence in making decisions and taking ownership and accountability for their workload.

We are the county's leading conservation charity run by local people for the benefit of local wildlife, with nature reserves across the county - part of a UK network of 46 local Wildlife Trusts working to protect wildlife.

There will be travel required to our other sites and reserves in the county.
